Midway Point Intersection

The Midway Point Intersection Project is a key part of the South East Traffic Solution project, which will help improve safety and travel time reliability along the Tasman Highway between the Hobart Airport roundabout and the Arthur Highway south of Iron Creek Bridge.

The project realigned Penna Road to create a new traffic signal-controlled intersection with Tasman Highway. It also duplicated the highway through Midway Point to provide two lanes in each direction.

The project was completed in 2022.
