Training and enrolling
The AIS Administration Team provides training to Proprietors and Vehicle Examiners on a regular basis and are strongly encouraged to attend to keep themselves conversant with AIS matters including vehicle inspections.

Existing Examiners/Certifiers are required to sit and pass a vehicle knowledge quiz every three years prior to the compliance end date.
These courses are administered by the Department of State Growth and can be accessed via: https://training.stategrowth.tas.gov.au/login/index.php,
If you have forgotten your user name or password, use the e-mail address provided on applying to become an examiner/certifier as your username and use the 'Forgot Password' button to re-set your password. If this is the first time your examiner authority is nearing expiry, you will need to email the below details to the Accreditation AIS Unit to arrange access to the quiz.
Once received you will be notified by e-mail your login details and how to access the quiz.
The members of the Accreditation AIS Team and the Vehicle Standards team conduct two-hour information sessions for Vehicle Examiners, and Proprietors, in various locations state-wide throughout the year. Vehicle Examiners are strongly encouraged to attend at least once a year to keep themselves conversant with AIS matters. Bookings are essential.
