Building works underway on new Launceston regional bus transit centre
Construction has begun on the new Launceston regional bus transit centre located at 25 St John Street.
This facility has been purpose-designed with passenger comfort front-of-mind. It will deliver significant benefits for regional passengers while providing connectivity to the Launceston CBD and broader bus network.
The new facility will include modern, accessible amenities such as indoor seating, toilets, and a ticketing and luggage check-in desk.
Once completed in mid-2025, it will become the new departure point for services between Launceston and Devonport, Hobart, Mole Creek, and the state’s East Coast, replacing the temporary bus stop on the corner of Charles and William Streets.
Updates on this project will be shared here.
