Update your mobile number to receive SMS reminder messages.
Did you know we will send a SMS reminder when your registration or driver licence is due?
We can only do this if we have your mobile number on our records.
You will continue to receive renewal notices sent to you in the mail, this is an additional service.
You can update your mobile number on the Registration & Licensing Mobile Number Enrolment page or by going to Service Tasmania.
When you provide us your mobile number the following reminders (if applicable) will be sent.
Reminder type | When it's sent |

Registration renewal is due | Up to 3 days prior to registration expiry date |
Expired registration | Up to 7 days after registration expiry date |
Driver licence renewal | Up to 3 days prior to licence expiry date |
Driving Assessment booking | 5 days prior to your booking |
Remember it is your responsibility to ensure your registration and driver licence are current.
