Seasonal registration allows greater flexibility for the registration of heavy vehicles used in seasonal activity.
Which vehicles can be seasonally registered?
Seasonal registration can only be applied to heavy vehicles that are used seasonally for:
- agriculture
- snow activity.
What are the benefits of seasonal registration?
If the vehicle satisfies the criteria for seasonal registration you will receive a:
- 40% rebate on motor tax (agriculture only)
- longer 12-month period of lapsed registration
- This is 9 months longer than the regular lapse period.
- You will not need to have an inspection or return plates in this time.
