If you want to undertake telecommunication service works in the State road reservation you will require an agreement with the Department of State Growth.
You will need to fill in and submit an application:
Applications must be received at least 20 business days before your expected start date for works, to allow enough time to assess your application.
No works are to be done until a written agreement has been issued. Agreement is in accordance with:

There are time restrictions on planned works on State roads major commuting routes, to help make sure traffic at peak times isn’t impacted by roadworks.

Traffic control at work sites may be required to maintain a safe workplace for workers and to safely guide road users through work sites.

Agreement is only for carrying out works within the State road reservation. If the State road reservation boundary is not clearly defined, for example by fencing, you may need agreement from landowners or other authorities.
