Northern Suburbs Transit Corridor
We are committed to activating the Northern Suburbs Transit Corridor.
The project supports the safe and reliable operation of future transit along the corridor between Glenorchy and Hobart.
The project is part of the Hobart City Deal and is jointly funded by the Australian and Tasmanian Governments
1. Traffic monitoring survey - May 2023
We did a traffic monitoring survey to gather data to model traffic between the Hobart and Glenorchy CBDs. Traffic movement data was collected using cameras at around 100 locations.
We collected data in the week starting on 29 May 2023 and the cameras were removed by 3 June 2023.
This data will let us accurately model vehicle movements between the Hobart and Glenorchy CBDs and will inform future urban transport planning and projects.
The Department of State Growth will not have access to any personally identifiable information as a result of this survey.
